Upcoming Review: Skincare products from Althea

Look what arrived at my doorstep today! My althea orders!

I needed a new face wash and an eye cream. I choose laneige as the brand of choice since it is the most reliable brand for my skin. So I bought Laneige Multi-cleanser and Laneige Water Bank Eye Gel. Bought it on 11 November because of the additional 11% off because of the singles day :). The item arrived on the 18 November, so it took approximately 7 days to arrive. The order includes a tracking number but the tracking stops once it reaches the distribution centre in singapore (singpost).

Anyway my items were nicely bubble wrap. Here is a picture of the parcel when it arrive. Althea was also generous enough to include samples in the parcel. One of it is a facial mask from Missha and another is skin repair essence.

Review: Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam

Today I am writing a review on facewash/cleanser that I have been using since a year ago. I like it so far and already bought my third tube.

My current daily routine for my face before going out consist of moisturizer, concealer and lastly BB cream. As such, after school I need to ensure that I remove by BB cream and concealer well before going to sleep. If not I would have acne and clogging problem.

As someone who is lazy like me I like to keep things simple. Some people have a separate makeup remover before cleansing their face. Importantly, if your using a makeup remove you need to ensure that it is compatible with your skin. For this very reasons, I decided to purchase Etude House Baking Powder B.B Deep Cleansing Foam.

What I like about this cleansing foam is that its like a 2 in 1 cleansing scrub and makeup remover. Not only that it effectively removes my BB cream, i have also tried removing eyebrow liner and mascara using it. It works very well.

It is not extremely drying as I would need to apply moisturizer after washing up. But in overall I like it alot. I have no breakups or whiteheads problem after using this facewash.

Fresh from korea & my third tube
(FYI: I usually order my products online from korean since it is so much cheaper than buying their outlets in Singapore)

Looks out for any ingredients that you are sensitive to
According to the tube, it says that the cleanser is 100% natural fragrance and dye free. Just to inform you guys, the cleanser is actually slightly lemony and it is white in color (as seen in the picture below). It also have microbeads that is not quite visible from the picture but if you were to massage it on you face, you will be able to feel it.

This is my current favorite facewash/cleanser and I would purchase it again in the future.

My rating 5/5.

Lastly, everyone in Southeast Asian region remember to drink more water and put on more moisturizer! Its haze season again!

Toodles!~

Review: Shiseido Speedy Whip Foam Cleanser

Speedy Whip Foam Cleanser is also one of the products that my eldest sister got for from Japan last December. This item can also be found in Singapore, I remembered the price being quite affordable that expected. I thought Shiseido products are pretty pricey in Singapore.

Review: Etude House AC Clinic Acne Foam Cleanser

This is what I'm gonna review today! I've always wanted to try this foam cleanser. Received this from my from my friend for quite some time already but only tried it recently.

Here is a closer look at the product. Etude House's products always has attractive packaging. Each range has their own unique distinctive packaging. People like tend to fall for their marketing strategy haha. This product is non-comedogenic; meaning it will not aggravate your acne.

Review: Himalaya Herbals Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash

If your a regular reader of my blog, you will most probably realized that I am actually a fan of whitening skincare products! This is my second time trying out Himalaya Herbals product and for this product I love and hate it at the same time.

This Clear Complexion Whitening Face Wash contains several unique and natural main ingredients and have been found to be beneficial for our skin. Licorice, White Dammer and lastly Saffron.
Licorice and White Dammer lightens the skin tone and restores our skin's natural fairness whereas Saffron (the most expensive herb that can be found in most Indian cuisines, which l love so much) surprisingly has an enhancing properties that helps clear spots and blemishes.

Beautiful pictures for my dear readers :D

The texture of the cleanser is gooey and smells like baby Johnson's shampoo that we all have used before when we were young hehehe!

What I like about this face wash is that my skin feels really squeaky, clean and smooth after use. My cheek kind of look like "porcelain" .... (LOL! I sound cocky saying that my skin look like porcelain... but I cant find a perfect word to describe it.... maybe clear and shiny).

Now the cons, it made the sides of my nose very dry and I have to scrape off some of the dry skin which is quite a painful experience for me! I am not sure why this happened. But I have come with a conclusion that this face wash is not compatible for my skin.

I will rate this product 2/5.

For those who have tried this face wash before do share your experience of using this face wash!

Review: Hada Labo Gentle Exfoliation

As some of you guys know scrubs that consist of exfoliation bits may exert to much stress on our skin and even damage our skin. As such there is thing called gentle exfoliation that are very easy on our skin. One of the product that is Hada Labo Gentle Exfoliation. Hada Labo seems to causing a buzz in singapore so I decided to try it out.

Hado Labo Gentle Exfoliation
One of its main spotlight ingredients are AHA and DHA (as you can see from the picture). AHA helps in exfoliating dull skins without causing harm to it. Whereas, DHA are particularly an important ingredient ingredient as it theoretically helps it removing whites and even black heads. If you have sensitive skin, I believe you should use such gentle "scrub".
To ensure "freshness" of the product
This product also have a safety seal to ensure quality of the product. (Warning: Some customers like to open the caps skin of product to smell if or for whatever reason and they end up not closing the caps well. This can cause bacteria to invade the product!!)
Backview
The above picture is the backview of the tube. You can press the picture to enlarge it. It consist of information of how to use the product, ingredients and why it is important to have one.
Similar packaging like other cleanser
Its really creamy. I swear!
My stand of this product is that this exfoliation cleanser is extremely gentle on my skin and I really like aftermath of its usage. My skin feels extremely smooth/soft and it kind of glows. It do helps in removing small white heads.
However, it doesn't seems to help me in removing blackheads on my nose and other persistent white heads on cheek. (My previous cleanser was able to do so). Furthermore, AHA that contain in this product may potential cause black spot on your face due to its reaction with UV light. As such you need sunscreen with this product even though your at home since UV light is able to penetrate through the windows. (Thats right... So I only use it at night) I find it quite troublesome to apply sunscreen even when I at home.
I rate this product 3.5/5 due to it's downside I mentioned above. It 2am. I should sleep now.
